3. Who receives your data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

4. Transfers outside the DIFC

Adequate jurisdictions. Netlify, Google and Cloudflare are based in California. California is listed by the DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection as a jurisdiction with an adequate level of protection, under Article 26 of the Law and Appendix 3 of the Data Protection Regulations, so no further safeguard is needed for these transfers.

Other jurisdictions. Microsoft is based in Washington State, which is not covered by an adequacy determination. For transfers to Microsoft we rely on appropriate safeguards under Article 27(2) of the Law: the standard contractual clauses in Microsoft's Data Protection Addendum, which applies to our Microsoft 365 service. unpkg, and the data centres of the other providers' global networks outside an adequate jurisdiction, receive only the technical request data described in section 2, as needed to deliver the requested file.

Getting a copy. You can request a copy of the safeguards we rely on by emailing tobias.teschemacher@phalanx-tech.com. Microsoft also publishes its Data Protection Addendum, which contains its standard contractual clauses, on its website.

5. How long we keep it

6. Your rights

Under Part 6 of the DIFC Data Protection Law you have the right to:

You can contact us in either of two ways, as required by Article 40 of the Law:

We will respond within one month. Where a request is particularly complex or there are many requests, we may extend this by up to two further months, and will tell you why within the first month. Requests are free of charge unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive.

8. Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection, email commissioner@dp.difc.ae. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first, so please contact us beforehand if you can.

9. Changes

We will update this notice when our processing changes, for example if we add analytics, a contact form, or new providers. The date at the top shows the latest version.
